For many successful entrepreneurs, starting a business is not just making a business plan, choosing a niche market, studying business skills and attending livelihood seminars, getting first time business loan, applying for business license, making and marketing products and services, talking to customers, placing advertisements in print, broadcast media and even the internet in order for the business to grow and become successful. But also applying the superstitious belief adopted by their ancestors to bring luck to a start-up business.
One of the superstitious beliefs is the use of wind chimes. Many entrepreneurs, especially successful Chinese taipans, applied feng shui that often uses wind chimes as a means of shaping an environment and influencing chi. It is said that the tones and materials of a particular wind chime can affect energy and change the mood and feeling of a business establishment.
Wind bells were considered religious talismans thought to repel evil demons and ghosts and attract benevolent spirits. This practice was adopted in the secular world and wind chimes became common adornments in the home as a way to protect against spiteful supernatural influences.
With many entrepreneurs adopting the myth of the wind chime, it is not unusual now to see agribusinessman putting farm bell that features a farm animal like rooster in his high-value crop farm, a restaurant franchisee placing dinner bell inside his classy restaurant or a horticulturist hanging garden bells in a tree beside his garden full of blossoming ornamentals plants for export.
A finely crafted musical farm bell, dinner bell or garden bells create a tranquil mood and brings harmony, offer romance and atmosphere any season of the year, and create full harmonious sound wherever they’re placed. These will bring happiness and joy to the people around. Certainly, these happiness and joy will also attract good luck. And this is good for business. Success will surely come!
