Option #1: Inherit or marry into wealth. If you happen to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth, you’re practically set for life. Option #2: Start and build your business. The names in Forbes magazine’s richest list have radically changed in the past couple of decades. From being dominated by old money, majority of the super wealthly are first generation billionaires who made it with ther own blood, sweat, and tears. Even in the Philippine rankings, it’s the first-generation Filipino-Chinese who make up majority of the richest. It may be true that nine out of startups fall in the first five years but the fact that most of the world’s richest are business owners prove this is the best way to become wealthy.

Option #3: Invest your money 0r other people’s money. The second best path to riches is to be an investor . In this category are stock investors, private equity investors, venture capitalists, money managers, hedge funds managers, real estate investors, and the like.

Option #4: Sell stuff. Though, you can’t break into the Forbes magazine list of richest Filipinos by getting into sales, it’s very possible to achieve a comfortable lifestyle selling products, services, and information. You can besome a sales professional working for a company (real estate agent, customs broker, medical representative, account executive, stock broker, insurance agent, etc). You can become an independent business owner or network marketing professional. You can become a wholesaler or authorized distributor. You can sell products on Ebay or Multiply. You can sell information online or offline in the form of books, ebooks, seminars, articles posts, and consulting services. You can earn advertising income from blogs through Cost Per Click networks like Adsense and Chitika or earn commissions from Affiliate Marketing in ClickBank, PayDotCom and Commission Junctions, etc.
