DBP-SMART Negosyo Program for OFW Dependents -- This program is a partnership between Development Bank of the Philippines that aims to provide the family or relative of the OFW in the Philippines with a “Negosyo” package that will help them to start a small business which they can eventually grow.
The “Negosyo” package includes a brand new Personal Desktop PC, 1 year unlimited SMART Bro Internet connection, SMART Load retailer SIM with free P500 load, SMART Buddy 3G Cellphone, banner and flyers, CPE antenna (Canopy/Sendfar), Free E-learning certificate for 1 year, welcome kit and troubleshooting guidelines, and sticker on computer.
In this “Negosyo” package, OFW family or relatives can open Internet Café where he/she can also do CD burning and printing services; use computer and internet to regularly communicate with loved ones abroad through email, chat, video conferencing, etc.; and earn from being an e-load station since the package comes with a SMART e-load retailer phone kit.
To apply for the loan package, an OFW should visit the nearest DBP office or an accredited DBP-SMART reseller in the country where he/she is currently working.
To qualify for the loan package, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) should have a valid employment contract of not less than six months; have a corresponding working visa and specified beneficiary as co-borrower; and OFWs borrower/co-borrower should have at least a joint monthly gross income equivalent of Php 25,000 including other determinable/verifiable income for every unit availed or its foreign currency equivalent.
The DBP-SMART Loan Package is up to Php 45,000 per unit depending on the monthly gross income with an interest of 9% per annum. Monthly amortization can be paid through DBP remittance offices/tie-ups abroad via EC Card/Savings Account. After the loan has been repaid or on the 13th month, upon the discretion on the OFW loan principal borrower, the beneficiary shall now only pay a subscription fee of Php 999.00 for the continuous unlimited SMART Bro internet connectivity.
Interest: Up to 9.0% p.a. (fixed)
Terms: Loan payable up to twelve (12) months in equal monthly amortizations

This is disgusting idea… what the heck are you doing? My mother is an OFW but i am not interested in this kind of unscrupulous offer! i can BUY 3 units of computers Brand New for the price of 45,000 plus SMART E-LOAD with NO SUCH papers and DOCUMENTS YOU required us to submit. I think this NOT GOOD idea You HECK!
All OFW dependents have the freedom to avail DBP-Smart Negosyo Program or not.
