Andry Lim, the manager of Helen’s Farm of Barangay Joaquin, Calinan, Davao City, minimized his feed costs because he formulated his own feeds for his fatteners. Andry’s feed cost only about P15 per kilo compared to the usual P27 per kilo of the commercial feed available in agrivet stores and other stores selling agricultural supplies. His cost of production per kilo liveweight is only about P55 compared to the P75 or more of the commercial formulations.
Here is Andry Lim’s feed formulation:
For every 100 kilos or rice bran, he add 50 kilos of cracked yellow corn, 10 kilos of soya meal (5 kilos if for young pigs), 5 kilos of copra meal, 3 kilos of salt. To these he also adds 2 to 3 liters of fermented fruit juice (FFJ), fish amino acid (FAA), and one liter each of Oriental Herbal Nutrient (OHN) and lactic acid bacteria serum (LABS). He also incorporates 2 to 3 kilos of powdered coconut shell charcoal to help control diarrhea.

Now this is something completely different, I am going to have to share this with a friend of mine that is in the farming industry, I think this will come in handy for his pigs.
