3. They have the ability to set their own hours. Because they are an independent contractor, they will be able to set their own hours and mold their business into what they want it to be.
4. They can build their business in real estate. They can see theirself building a successful real estate business. And if they take the time to provide great customer service, they will be able to expand their business through referrals and world of mouth.
5. Enjoy helping people. Many will have the sense of satisfaction if they know that they helped someone make one of the biggest financial decisions of their lifetime.
Certainly, becoming a real estate agent has many great benefits. And to become a successful real estate agent, you need to take a commitment and a huge investment of effort to guarantee overall success.
I have been a Realtor in Florida for many years and real estate agent income is dropping to the point that many who do not have an alternate income stream are forced out. Property values have dropped by over 30% in much of the country. That itself means a 30% reduction in income if commissions do not go up- ane they won’t. And the number of transactions is way down too. The combination is devastating for many. You are right about the benefits- but timing in this industry is another important factor to consider.
