10 Well-Known Manny Pacquiao’s Business Interest Today

Manny Pacquiao is not only a successful boxer worth to be emulated but he also became one of the most successful Filipino businessmen today. His business interest encompasses almost all business sectors in the Philippines. You ask what they are? This post lists what I think are the 10 well-known Manny Pacquiao’s business interest today:

1. Raising Fighting Cocks – He has a passion in raising fighting cocks. He raises hundreds of little ring gladiator that we saw in almost all Philippine big derbies and World Slasher Derbies today.

2. Singing — He had launched his singing career with the help of Lito Camo, who composed all the songs included in his album especially the “Para Sa Iyo”, wherein he emphasizes the message that all his boxing fights are dedicated to his beloved country – the Philippines, and its people.

3. Building Stores – He build stores in his home province in South Cotabato especially in General Santos City. He didn’t only invest his hard-earned money for profit but also put it to good use by giving employment to his fellow kababayans.

4. Acting and Making Films – He is into filmmaking industry. He orchestrated the making of the film “Anak ni Kumander” where he carries the leading role.

5. Endorsing Commercials – He is happily endorsing many Philippine products and services. He endorses San Miguel beer, Magnolia ice cream; Talk N Text SIM cards and services, Alaxan FR, McDonalds chicken, Motolite batteries, Café Puro coffee, to name a few.

6. Owning a Basketball Team – Aside from being a great fan of the game of basketball, he put up a basketball team that carries his name and his home city, the General Santos City. He sometimes played some games for his team before proceeding to his training camp.

7. Promoting Boxing Fights – He put up Manny Pacquiao Promotions, a promotional company that promotes boxing fights including his fights and other entertaining shows here in the Philippines and abroad. His first boxing promotion was in partnership with the Sycuan Ringside Promotions sometime in September 2008 in Sycuan Resort and Casino in San Diego, California, USA, featuring Mexican fighters against Filipino ring gladiators.

8. Training Young Boxers – With his success in boxing industry, Manny Pacquiao wants to share his blessings to young generation of promising boxers. That’s why he builds a boxing gym in Manila, in the place where the L&M Gym stands, where he honed his boxing ability and where he dreamt of becoming a boxing champion someday.

9. Becoming the Greatest Boxer of All Time – With his thunderous knockout win over the British Hitman Ricky Hatton last May 2, 2009, Manny Pacquiao cemented his status as the best pound 4 pound boxer in the world. This fighting pride of General Santos, Philippines is on his way to be written in history books as the greatest boxer of all times. Many think he is up for three more fights before hanging up his gloves for good. And that is against Miguel Cotto,  Juan Manual Marquez and the comebacking Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather Jr.

If he wins all of them, this will erase the doubts of those who didn’t believed in him that he certainly is the greatest boxer of all time.

10. Acquiring College Degree – Manny Pacquiao gives more importance to education. Even in his busy schedule, he found time to attend his studies in Notre Dame University in Koronadal, South Cotabato where he is taking up Bachelor of Science Business Administration majoring in Management.
